Rainy skies couldn’t dampen the spirits of the many friends and supporters who gathered for the Warren Heritage Foundation’s 10th Annual Gala on September 21. “Warren Works – Then and Now” celebrated the town’s rich manufacturing legacy and its transformation from a historic farming and maritime hub into a thriving center of modern innovation. Fittingly, the event was held at Jade Engineered Plastics, located on the grounds of one of Warren’s oldest continuously operated farms.
Gourmet Fare & Local Flavor:
Guests savored an array of regional delicacies, including our signature boat of New England oysters and littlenecks, served fresh from from Luther Blount’s historic South American Cayuga dugout canoe. Appetizers by Prica Farina and charcuterie displays wowed attendees, while acclaimed Chef Michael Rivera — owner of Black Basil Table and Top 20 finalist in the James Beard Foundation’s Favorite Chef competition—delivered an unforgettable culinary experience. A delightful assortment of desserts and libations served by Katie Dickson of Bywater rounded out the evening’s offerings.
Entertainment & Giving Back:
The smooth jazz sounds of the Willie Myette Trio, led by celebrated pianist and composer Willie Myette, set the perfect tone for the night.
Guests demonstrated their enthusiastic support for the Foundation’s mission by bidding generously in the silent auction, which featured a thoughtfully curated selection of local treasures—including a handcrafted WaterRower, an overnight stay at a charming local Airbnb, a guided bird watching excursion, original artworks and historic maps, a CSA share from Long Lane Farm, and a beautifully crafted lamp from O&G Studios.
More than just a memorable evening, the event was a fundraising triumph—raising $21,000 for the Foundation’s Grants Program. A heartfelt thank you to our sponsors, guests, and volunteers for helping preserve and promote Warren’s vibrant heritage.
